The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you enhance your diving skills and confidence while exploring new dive adventures. You will refine your buoyancy, and practice navigation, and participate in deep diving. Additionally, choose three specialty dives like a wreck, Night, or Underwater photography. This course allows you to experience diverse underwater environments while earning credit toward speciality certifications. Open Water Divers aged 12 or older can join. This course focuses on building experience without exams.

Process, Procedure, and Time Commitment

Step 1: Course Enrollment and Preparation Contact our dive center to enroll in the Advanced Open Water Diver course. Discuss available specialty dives and schedule training sessions. Complete PADI eLearning, which covers essential knowledge for 13 specialty dives, including deep and navigation diving. eLearning time commitment is 6 - 8 hours.

Step 2: Knowledge Development and Dive Planning Study specialty topics, including dive planning, safety considerations, and dive-specific techniques. Review knowledge with your instructor to clarify concepts and finalize dive plans.

Step 3: Training Dives (5): Dive 1 Deep Dive - descend below 18 meters. Practice pressure management and depth awareness techniques. Dive 2: Underwater Navigation - use a compass and natural navigation cues to find your way underwater. Practice navigating multiple turns and estimating distance. Dive 3 - 5: Specialty Dives - choose three specialty dives based on interest and local availability. Gain hands-on experience in specialty techniques under instructor guidance.

Step 4: Certification Upon successful completion, earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. Specialty courses may count toward related speciality certifications
